The Ant and the Mango Tree
Quotation
🌳 The Ant and the Mango Tree
🐜 Story
In a sunlit forest, a mighty mango tree stood tall, its roots deep and its branches heavy with fruit. Every summer, animals gathered beneath it for shade and sweet mangoes. But one year, a terrible drought struck. The river dried up, and the tree began to wither.
A crow sighed, “We’re doomed! The tree will die.” A squirrel whimpered, “There’s nothing we can do.”
But a tiny red ant looked up and said, “I’ll try.” Each morning, she carried a droplet of water from a distant pond and rolled it to the tree’s roots. The crow laughed, “Your drop is useless!” Yet the ant never stopped.
Days passed. The tree’s roots absorbed the droplets, and soon, green shoots appeared again. When the rains finally came, the mango tree flourished—its fruits sweeter than ever. The crow and squirrel rejoiced, realizing that the ant’s small deeds had saved their home.
